Dark Side

Every time when I get the chance to create things like a back cover for TeeKay, I see it as an opportunity to create a new show case piece. So, I draw and paint as if it is the most important piece of my life. At the moment I work on pieces like this, it IS the most important piece in my life. I try to set set the standards as high as possible. I look at artists I admire, and I try to achieve the same level. But at a certain moment, I am leaving my artistic gods and my own style and ideas come in.
The theme for this one was "Dark Side". If I would have lived in the sixties, people might think I was on LSD or something. Sorry to be disappointing to you guys, while drawing this I was drinking green thee and probably listening to some singalong song. No death metal. And it was painted entirely digital....also not very artistic right ?
The chairman of TeeKay gave me the feedback it was an expressionistic piece. As an amateur artist without any formal training I really cannot comment to that. I simply do not have the knowledge for that (people that know me better know that I am lying now
